DTF Jersey

DTF (Direct to Film) printing is a method where designs are printed onto a special film and then transferred to fabric using heat and pressure. It works on a wide range of materials, including cotton, polyester, and blends, making it a flexible choice for custom apparel.

DTF printing involves five main steps:
1- Print your design onto a PET film using DTF ink.
2- Apply a hot-melt powder adhesive.
3- Cure the powder using a heat source.
4- Press the design onto the fabric with a heat press.
5- Peel the film to reveal your printed design.This process creates vibrant, durable, and stretchy prints.

Compared to DTG or screen printing, DTF offers better versatility, lower setup costs, and is ideal for both light and dark fabrics. It also doesn't require pre-treatment, prints sharper details, and holds up well after multiple washes.

DTF printing can be applied to cotton, polyester, rayon, nylon, and even treated leather. It’s a great option for T-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, and more.

When applied and washed properly, DTF prints can last 50+ washes without cracking, fading, or peeling. They offer great durability, stretch resistance, and color retention.

DTF uses water-based inks, and the process generates less waste than traditional screen printing. While the PET film is disposable, advancements in recyclable films are being developed.

Yes! You can use most commercial heat presses to apply DTF transfers. Just make sure you follow the correct temperature (usually around 300–320°F), pressure, and timing (10–15 seconds) for best results.
